If I had to sum up the whole 2017 year into one word it would be INTENSIVE. And indeed, numbers are impressive: over 40 dog shows in 6 countries, 7 dogs shown, 5 of them closed fifteen champion and junior champion titles of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Baltics, Poland and Ukraine.
The most impressive win and a new page in Lithuanian IG history was Junior World Winner title for our Lusis Kopos Namai (out of Italian dog Amerigo Del Barone Rampante and French bitch In The Name Of Love De Magistris). Also the amazing weekend for Flamant Rose Kopos Namai: in two National Dog Shows she was TWICE chosen as Best In Show winner – which is more than WOW!
Nine puppies went to their new homes – from L, M and B litters. All of them are kids of Amerigo, and these were his only litters. He won’t be used in breeding anymore – now it’s time for his glorious kids to shine in ring and become part of Lithuanian Italian Greyhound history.
But these are just numbers and statistics. Much more important are all new friends and our puppy owners, all the letters we wrote and all long talks we’ve made and meetings we had with all that people interested in our beloved breed.
Yep, that was a really impressive year. Full of surprises, action, little tails and shining victories, thousands of kilometers made, hundreds of hugs, cool noses, lots and lots of conversations and cups of coffee done.
Thank you to all our friends and members of growing Kopos Namai family: for loving little “kopee’s”, for sharing those special moments and for being with us.
Wish you all the best luck and lots of love next year – for those who are and those who will be part of Kopos Namai 😉
